'8' Hans Wegner-Style Oak Wishbone Dining Chairs
About the Item
A contemporary set of eight stylish dining chairs produced after the iconic "Y-chair" or "Wishbone" model CH24 dining chair, designed by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Son in 1949. Crafted of bent oak wood with rush seats, these chairs are inspired by the traditional Chinese horseshoe form with a Scandinavian mid-century twist, offering refinement and modernization to a familiar design. A testament to Wegner's timeless taste, the Wishbone chair has been continually reproduced by a variety of manufacturers with minimal tweaks. This late 20th/early 21st century set is a clean, recent reproduction in the manner of a mid-20th century Danish design.
