Black Lacquer John Stuart Chippendale Dining Chairs Mid Century - a Set of 6
About the Item
A set of six John Stuart Chippendale dining chairs, two captains chairs and four side. The design of the chairs is very modern, with flat fronts. The black lacquer finish accentuates the modern feel of the chairs and it is easy to see how chairs these are the basis for the Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown's "Chippendale Chair" designs. Our upholsterer made sure the pattern of the seats line up from chair to chair. We are calling the seat color "chartreuse", they are actually less green and more tan... A few of the chairs bear the original John Stuart label.
