Black Leather Tucroma Chairs by Guido Faleschini for Mariani Pace, 1970s, Signed

About

The most desirable, rare and sought after colorway (black leather on black frame) of the most coveted chairs by interior designers, this incredible set of eight (8) Tucroma dining armchairs by Guido Faleschini for i4Mariani is seriously the bees knees. We have four additional chairs with matching frames in grey fabric that we can reupholster to black leather to increase this set up to a set of 12 chairs - contact us for more details on this if you need more than eight chairs for your project. i4 Mariani was a specialty Italian design division of the Pace collection and Guido Faleschini was the star designer who created famous designs such as the Tucroma line and a line of bedroom furniture for Hermès. While Tucroma chairs are difficult to get as they are so in-demand by interior designers and collectors alike, the black on black colorway of this set is even more rare and hard to get. And to find a set of eight of them together is unreal. But guess what? We have this set available just for you but only if you act fast as this set will surely go quick. This is an interior design magazine cover worthy set of chairs and would look so amazing with a marble or travertine dining table, such as designs by Angelo Mangiarotti and Roche Bobois or lacquered goatskin tables by Karl Springer and Steve Chase. The seats and backs retain the original supple black leather upholstery and are attached to graceful black steel tubular frames, as well as being bridged together by wide black leather straps at the back with hand-tied detail for extra security. Under the seats are the original i4 Mariani labels. Originally designed in the 1970s, the Tucroma line by Guido Faleschini for Mariani / Pace have been a design staple for interior designers and high-end luxury homeowners and to this day, remain a Classic go-to chair for top designers, collectors and architects alike. This set of dining armchairs are an excellent vintage example of the design and offers an ideal solution for discriminating collector clients who want vintage examples but want them in excellent condition. This sleek set of dining / arm / side chairs would inject some 1970s Italian modern into any interior and would complement various locations such as a Mid-Century Modern, Contemporary, Postmodern, neoclassical, or transitional dining room, living room, den, games room, office space, entryway or bedroom. It would also be perfect in a hospitality or corporate location, such as; a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, workspace studio, executive office, or in a luxe clothing emporium. Consider pairing with items from Leon Rosen for Pace, Charles Hollis Jones, Vladimir Kagan or Pierre Paulin. Also can work great with a Roche Bobois, Angelo Mangiarotti, Willy Rizzo, Maison Jansen or Aldo Tura dining, breakfast, cafe, or game table. This chair would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian Modern or Danish modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Postmodern room. Consider using as side chairs, cafe or breakfast table chairs, bedside chairs, fireside chairs, dressing or changing room chair, hallway chairs, entryway or mudroom chairs, nursing or reading chairs, conference room chairs, office or desk chairs, guest chairs, lobby chairs, lounge chairs or occasional chairs ideal in virtually any setting.
