The name "Flock" reflects its role as a tranquil oasis and central meeting space within the home, where soft, voluptuous forms, natural materials, and pleasing tactile surfaces create an ambiance of warmth and cocooning.
Designer Kateryna Sokolova explains, "Home is the most intimate place for rest, comfort, and gathering, and it should be filled with personalized, character-rich, and eye-catching statement objects like Flock design pieces. In addition to the distinct shape, I wanted to create furniture that would become part of the family, a friend, intimate, and beloved."
Ergonomics plays a pivotal role in NOOM's design philosophy, ensuring that its products are aesthetically pleasing and incredibly comfortable. The Flock Chair, characterized by its smooth wide backrest and spacious, comfortable seat, results from extensive research, numerous prototypes, and the meticulous craftsmanship of local artisans under the designer's close supervision.

NOOM is a young, fast-growing design company from Ukraine that produces furniture, lighting, decor, and home accessories. We create sculptural and eye-catching design pieces that elevate any space, whether it is residential or commercial interior. Balancing between expression and function, NOOM is a place where design meets art.
The company was founded in 2017 by industrial designer Kateryna Sokolova, with designer, and entrepreneur Arkadii Vartanov. Arkadii and Kateryna teamed up to bring together the very best of design, materials, and craftsmanship. Combining traditional and modern manufacturing technologies, NOOM aims to design functional and striking products that are "built to last". "Our objects lie between design, art, and craftsmanship," said the designers. "Managing the manufacturing of our creations, we oversee the entire production process and pay exceptional attention to every detail in each piece”.
