Danish Modern Teak Chairs by Arne Hovmand-Olsen for Mogens Kold, Denmark, 1950s. Set of 4
Elegant and sculptural dining room chairs in solid teak with original paper cord seats. Designed in 1951 as model MK310 by renowned Danish architect A. Hovmand Olsen. A very beautiful example of Danish Mid-Century Modern design with slender round tapered legs, original woven paper cord seats and wide curved backrests.
All four chairs has makers mark on the underside. Fitted with new felt gliders.
The design and choices of materials makes these early Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern chairs very suitable for modern interiors and styles as e.g Wabi Sabi.
Good original vintage condition with light patina consistent with age and use. Small nicks and scratches to wood and light color differences on the paper cord. Gently cleaned and polished.
