Decorative Set of 12 Italian Style Dining Chairs of Carved Wood and Leather
About the Item
Stunning set of 12 matching dining chairs, of carved gilt, and painted, wood frames with unexpected and intriguing bubble gum pink leather seats. It is almost impossible to locate large sets of stylish dining chairs. These chairs were made in the mid 20th century, probably in Italy, they are unsigned.
All chairs are structurally sound and sturdy, one chair shows a repaired fracture at the upper shoulder, which is now stable, please see images. The seats are of high quality tied spring construction, making these chairs not only stylish, but comfortable as well. The chairs show a variety of classical European stylistic influences, including Venetian, Florentine, French etc.
