Early 20th Century French Louis XV Carved Walnut Cane Dining Chairs, Set of 6
About the Item
Decorate a dining table with this elegant suite of antique side chairs. Crafted in France circa 1970, and built of walnut, each dining chair stands on cabriole legs decorated with acanthus leaves at the shoulder ending with escargot feet. The chair features a rounded and arched back embellished with a carved shell motif at the pediment, and a comfortable wide and deep seat over a bombe apron decorated with a shell. Both seating and back are outfitted with a hand woven cane upholstery. The six dining chairs are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich walnut patina with delicate beige seat caning.
