About the Item
Designed with Jasper Morrison's "Super Normal" design philosophy in mind, the IDEA behind the MIDI chair is to create an object that is free from all distraction, Minimalist, and timeless, allowing elegance to be found in obvious simplicity.
The primary goal was to create a very comfortable chair that easily fits into dining rooms. Its various colours, ubiquitous curves, arched backrest, and slightly exaggerated proportions give it a soft and approachable look.
The MIDI Chair reimagines the Silhouette of a Classic mortise and tenon chair, creating shapes and junctions that are pleasantly familiar yet surprising in their simplicity. The solid red oak provides warmth and ensures that it will stand the test of time.
The finesse of the assemblies reflects the rigorous work and know-how of the various Quebec furniture manufacturers we work with. The combination of traditional woodworking methods with innovative machining processes allows for significant cost and time savings in production.
