Franco Albini, set of 8 ''Luisa'' dining chairs, in walnut, re-upholstered in a Pierre Frey fabric. Italy, design 1949-1955 The ''Luisa'' armchair by Franco Albini, designed between 1949 and 1955, won the Compasso d''Oro price in 1955 and is part of the permanent furniture collection at MoMA.
The angular frame in walnut shows beautiful wooden joints that highlight the craftsmanship. The blue velvet upholstery catches the eye, yet it leaves the elegant frame its room for expression.
