French Set of Four Dining Chairs in Ash and Straw
About the Item
Set of four dining chairs, ash, straw, France, 1960s.
This set of four dining chairs features a solid wooden frame, consisting of cylindrical thick legs that are connected to each other with elegant slim horizontal slats. The seats and backrests are executed in straw. The way this large set is designed shows a strong resemblance to the ´Dordogne´ chairs designed by Charlotte Perriand. Particularly the characteristic method of folding straw rope vertically, which leaves this typical horizontal line in the middle of the back and the seat.
Please note that these chairs are in used condition. They show signs of wear and use.
