About the Item

This vintage set of 4 fully restored modernsist rare Italian Gastone Rinaldi dining chairs for Rima cantilever. These are from the 70's. They have a unique fluid form of tubular curved bars that are very sculptural in their entity and angles. They have been fully restored from top top to bottom. Because the original chrome that was pitted would not polish properly they desperately needed to be nickel silvered over the chrome. They look beyond amazing now. Their original upholstered forms were used but redone and all new insides were put in. The button snap forms on the back were also original to the time and hold the seat in place. They have also been redone.They are now upholstered in off white to white boucle fabric. The padded arms were original but again the fabric now matches. These are very chic, edgy and comfortable now. What we have not done as yet is to screw in the metals bars underneath of the new padded arms. It will not be done unless you will be re-upholstering them. Then we prefer you do this at your end. The Made in Italy labels were somehow removed over time and many owners. Sold as a set of 4 only! These do not come up on this market now very often. In recap the costs involved of all of our superb restoration were high. They have now been brought back to the 21st century in look and design. Chic, vintage, modernist and sculptural.

Reupholstered. Additions or alterations made to the original: These chairs have been nickel silvered over the chrome and all re-upholstered and redone. Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. All new insides on the upholstery and new fabric with using the original form. Like new now with a vintage year.
