Laukaan Puu set of four ‘Pirkka’ dining chairs – Ilmari Tapiovaara
About the Item
Set of four early Pirkka chairs designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara and manufactured by Laukaan Puu of Finlad in the 1950s.
These chairs are an iconic design and have seats and back rests made from several pieces of solid pine. The legs and back spokes are black lacquered beech wood.
These chairs have been fully restored. The pine wood has been thoroughly cleaned and refinished. The legs and back spokes have a high durable new black lacquer. The original finish was unfortunately too far gone, so the decision was made to fully restore them.
The chairs are sturdy and in excellent restored condition.
