Available today, this Brazilian Modern Armchair in Hardwood & Beige Linen by Celina Decoracoes, is simply exquisite! This mid-century gem is made in Brazilian Rosewood (as known as Jacaranda) and has loose re-upholstered cushions. The top cushion has been upholstered with the actual 1960s fabric (What a treat!). The armrests have a rectangular design that favors the visualization of the wood veins, with upholstered sides. Each chair features a solid Rosewood structure upholstered in beige leather. The legs and the backrest are delicately curved and the square seat is very comfortable. The wood work is absolutely stunning, characteristically of Joaquim Tenreiro. The set was designed specifically for Bloch Editors, a publishing & broadcasting Brazilian conglomerate. Sergio Rodrigues and Joaquim Tenreiro were both hired to design Modern furniture for the Bloch’s headquarters in Sao Paulo and these chairs belonged to the salons as is shown in the vintage publications...
