About the Item

This is splendid set of 16 French Empire style gilt dor'e bronze mounted dining chairs that match a 14 foot burled walnut dining table we have listed separately. The chairs are made of some of the best amboyna burled walnut we've ever seen and the bronze mounts are superb in crispness and their level of brilliance regarding the gold finish. The chairs are most likely Maison Krieger of Paris and are in very good condition for their age. They will show some minor chips and stains to upholstery but nothing significant that would show in photos. The chairs are absolutely stunning and finding such a large set is extremely difficult. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor tiny chips to burled walnut and may have minor stains as upholstery is not brand new but I could not find any. All very good for age with minor wear to be expected..
