Set of 4 Diningroom Chairs in Blond Wood and Red Faux Leather, Italy, 1950's

About the Item

Set of 4 dining chairs in blond wood and red faux leather. Italian Grace at its best. The combination of the blond beech and the red faux leather gives the chairs a warm and romantic feeling. The chairs have a lot of character and elegance. The most eye striking of the chairs are the bended spines that form the backrest: playful and almost like a butterfly or music notes. Imagine yourself during a dinner on a romantic Italian evening! The chairs are in good condition and the faux leather is still intact which makes them so cool. Some traces of use on the legs that we can work on if you want.

  • Set of 20 Fully Restored Egon Eiermann Folding Chairs in Beech and Plywood, 1952
By Egon Eiermann, Wilde + Spieth
    Located in Amsterdam, NL
These folding chairs, model SE18, were designed in 1952 by German architect Egon Eiermann for Wilde & Spieth. Its frame is made from beech wood whereas the seat and backrest are made from molded plywood with beech veneer. The chair is now on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in their permanent modern art collection and it was shown at the World Exhibition Brussels in 1958. Egon Eierman was one of Germany's most significant architects in the second half of the 20th century. Alongside designing significant modernist buildings, he also designed various items of furniture, in particular seating, that are now true design classics. These chairs are 70 years old and still in perfect condition because they were fully restored by a professional who dedicated a lot of time and energy to fix the veneer. The result is a splendid set of folding chairs...

  • Set of Six Italian Vintage Chairs in Wood and Dark Green Leather
    Located in Milano, IT
Lovely set composed of six wooden chairs designed in the 50's, of fine Italian manufacture. The structure of the chairs is linear, with four supporting legs, with a pointed shape, while the back is straight with a slightly curved cut of the wood. The chairs are entirely made of light wood in the frame, while dark green leather in the seat. The seat and back are connected: in fact, the leather upholstery rises from the seat to the middle of the back, giving a unique touch to the seat. The leather is fixed to the structure by means of round brass studs in patina, typically vintage. Another peculiarity of the chair is the shape of the top of the backrest, which sees the woodwork at the two ends create two soft indentations, while the middle part goes down more, creating a beautiful ornament. The shape of the chair seat is also peculiar, as towards the outside it becomes more pointed and the wood also tapers, while going towards the center of the seat the wood is thicker and strengthened. The chairs are very beautiful and are ideal for furnishing vintage...
