Set Of 4 Sophisticated Paint Finish Dining Room Chairs After Dorothy Draper
About the Item
Set of four sophisticated dining room chairs with a squiggle form backrest decorated in a gesso finish with hand-painted scrolling leafy vines. The heart shaped seat is covered in a very fine straw-like fabric that accentuates the form with a smooth sheen finished with gimp trim and a gilt wooden edge trim. The chairs rest on tapering cylindrical front legs and sculptured back legs.
Dimensions: 19" W x 18 1/2" D (to front center), 19" seat height, 35 3/4" H
Condition: Please see detail photos. There is age-related chipping to gesso along the backside of the backrest along with some age-related finish losses. The chairs with good joinery with faint wear and a few old stains to fabric. Over-all good condition and presenting in a dramatic Hollywood Regency manner.
