Set of Eight Empire Style Flame Mahogany Dining Chairs
About the Item
Distinctive set of eight French dining chairs crafted from radiant flame mahogany veneers. The chairs are made in the Empire revival style with a gracefully curved vasiform shaped back splat. The seat is supported by klismos style saber legs for a dramatic profile. The cushions are upholstered with damask fabric having a gilt thread in a paisley design. The chairs are sturdy with beautifully veneered backs showcasing the radiant mahogany woodgrains. Sold as a set of eight from an estate in San Francisco, CA.
