Set of Four Gilt Iron Klismos Chairs by Ched Berenguer-Topacio
About the Item
Rare and dramatic set of four iron neoclassical style klismos dining chairs designed by Ched Berenguer-Topacio. The gracefully curved wrought iron frames feature a large tablet back embellished with gold leaf squares. The gold leaf has an aged patina from exposure as seen in photos. The seats have been covered in a delicate bouclè style fabric. The seats are supported by splayed klismos legs with round gilt rosettes on the corners. The chairs are very solid and strong with an intentionally patinated iron finish on the frames. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA. Chairs have been re-upholstered in a delicate fabric that will need to upgraded to a more durable fabric to support daily use.
