Set of six Hand- Carved Lion Terminal Victorian Dining Chairs.
We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning set of six early Victorian hand-carved oak dining chairs made in the Jacobean manor.
A set of six early Victorian dark oak black painted high back dining chairs of Carolean design , the shaped crest rails carved with oval cartouche flanked by lions , seats upholstered in black leather , turned and fluted legs and H-pattern stretchers
As mentioned these are based on some earlier
Jacobean designs, the chairs are hand-carved from solid English oak.
Each chair has had the frame checked glued and clamped if loose, the frames are all nice and solid, the timber has been hand waxed and polished from top to bottom, there doesn't seem to be any losses, some join line timber splits from normal age but that's it
