About the Item
Voguish, chic, mid century set of dining chairs by Herbert Ritts, circa 1950/1960. The chairs feature bamboo frames, with chased brass trim, and thick upholstered seats ( need reupholstery). The chairs are all structurally sound and sturdy, one chair has a repair ( visible screw, not original ) and one of the decorative bamboo back panels is missing an inconsequential bit of bamboo, please see images.
The chairs were executed in the Asia Modern style, with curved tops, and faux Chinese engraving on the brass trim. This style was very popular in the mid 20th century, and still remains relevant to today’s interior spaces.
Hard to find examples of this designers work, very hard to find sets of chairs still together and intact.
Offered and priced as a set of six, dimensions as follows.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. All six chairs are structurally sound and sturdy, one chair shows and old repair, one chair is missing a small bit of the bamboo back rest structure, fabric is worn and will need to be replaced - please see images and description.
