Set Of Twelve French 18th Century Louis XVI Period Dining Chairs

About the Item

A very elegant set of twelve French 18th century Louis XVI period dining chairs. Each patinated gray/cream chair is raised by circular tapered fluted legs with top and bottom carved bands. Above is the straight frieze with a mottled border and recessed center. The upholstered seat decorated by rope and trim is below the rectangular back. The set has ten chairs with a certain style lyre while His and Hers for the ends of the table have a different style lyre with rosettes and finials. Each lyre is framed within a mottled edge border and recessed center band. All original patina throughout.
