About the Item

Set of Six Mahogany Chairs A set of six mid 19th century Victorian mahogany dining chairs. The chairs have a broad curved top rail to the back with a carved scroll centre rail. The front legs are turned and lappet carved while the back legs are square and kick out. The chairs have drop in pad seats that have a contemporary olive green coloured material. The chairs are made from very good figured mahogany and in very good condition. Some of the under rails have had wood worm in the past that has been treated and is now dead. (Circa 1840) Measures: Height 87cm (34.3 inches) Width 53cm (20.9 inches) Depth 50cm (19.7 inches).
