Set of 6 folding chairs designed by Aldo Jacober and Pierangela D' Aniello for Alberto Bazzani, 1966 Italy. Lacquered wood, vienna straw. Excellent condition, seats restored. Bibliography : Domus 443 (october 1966) p. 42 Giuliana Gramigna, Design Repertoire 1950-1980, Mondadori p. 236. A rare set of 6 chairs in excellent condition, fully functional closing mechanism, the seats were replaced with new straw. Aldo Jacober was an Italian designer born in Padua in 1935 and died in Milan in 2012. After studying architecture at the IUAV University of Venice, he worked in the design industry, where he became famous for his modernist furniture, his most famous project: Trieste folding chairs are on display at the permanent exhibition of the MOMA in NY.
