Miguel Fisac Stool

About the Item

This stool, designed by the visionary Spanish architect Miguel Fisac, is much more than a simple seat: it is a unique and rare piece that combines history, design, and functionality. Renowned for his innovative approach and mastery in working with materials in distinctive ways, Fisac left an indelible mark on 20th-century architecture and industrial design. His work, always ahead of its time, remains a symbol of exclusivity and refined taste. The stool features a steel structure with an exquisite brass finish, a material that not only ensures durability but also provides a warm and sophisticated sheen. This detail evokes the luxurious interiors of the mid-20th century, while its modern reinterpretation makes it perfect for contemporary spaces. The elegantly designed curved legs provide stability and support, adding dynamic visual appeal that makes this piece a focal point in any setting. The seat, upholstered in synthetic shearling, is an invitation to comfort. Its soft and cozy texture offers a luxurious seating experience, making every use a moment of pleasure. Additionally, this high-quality material ensures resistance to wear and easy maintenance, blending practicality with an inviting and elegant aesthetic. This stool is not just functional; it’s a style statement. Its versatile design makes it an ideal piece for various uses: as an additional seat in an elegant living room, a unique detail in a dressing room, or a decorative yet functional element in a vanity area. In commercial spaces such as boutiques, beauty salons, or hotel lobbies, it adds a touch of distinction that enhances the customer experience. In addition to its refined aesthetic, the stool offers practical advantages. Its lightweight structure allows for easy mobility, making it a perfect ally for dynamic spaces. Its ergonomic design ensures comfort even during prolonged use, while its sturdy construction guarantees a long lifespan. Don’t miss the opportunity to bring a unique and exclusive piece into your home or business that blends art, history, and functionality. This stool is more than just a seat: it’s a symbol of refined taste and distinction, designed for those who seek the very best. Make it yours and transform your space with a touch of exclusivity! These stools are extremely versatile pieces that can be used in a variety of contexts. In a home, they can serve as additional seating in the living room, comfortable places to sit in the dressing room, or even as elegant seats at the vanity. Their design and materials also make them suitable for use in commercial settings, such as luxury boutiques, beauty salons, or hotel lobbies where a combination of comfort and style is sought. Despite their robust appearance, the stools seem to be relatively lightweight, thanks to their metal construction. This makes them easy to move within the space, allowing them to be easily repositioned as needed. This feature is particularly useful in dynamic environments where furniture needs to be frequently rearranged.

Miguel Fisac Toro Armchair / Authentic Mid-Century Modern
By Miguel Fisac
Located in Zürich, CH
Sculptural qualities define this object. A vivid dynamic between the different volumes and surfaces, showing different qualities from different angles. Its expressive form offers a complex plasticity shaped by light and shadows. Name Toro comes out from the shape of its backrest, which is shaped in an expressive manner, so to resemble horns of an ox, where the extensions serve the function of armrests. Unlike the seat, which complements the wooden frame with its shape, the backrest appears more autonomous. The seat is shaped so the back part is thinner than the front one, which allows the user to be absorbed and firmly seated within its backseat. The frame presents bars with curved surfaces, which improve the sculptural character of the piece. It is done in massive oak wood. All parts are authentic, including the upholstery which is done in firm red vintage leather. The chair is in its original condition and has softly been restored. I think this piece blends well with many interior styles. It can support pure, modern aesthetics by giving them a warmer character with its natural materials and expressive colour. As an armchair with a strong character, it is a powerful addition to your living space. P! Galerie’s selection is mainly focused on design masterpieces between 1918 and 1970. Apart from rare French mid-century modern design artefacts by Pierre Jeanneret, Jean Prouvé, Le Corbusier, and Charlotte Perriand, our offer includes masterpieces of historic importance and value by Gerrit Rietveld, Lina Bo Bardi, Marcel Breuer, Oscar Niemeyer, or, for example, Eileen Gray. Following all ethical and juridical requirements, all items from our carefully curated collection come with a certificate of authenticity. We try to preserve as much of patina as possible during the process of restoration, as it defines these historic pieces. Not only do we cooperate with museums and offer auction houses our services and expert opinion, we also look forward to welcoming you as a private collector and connoisseur.
