Antique Louis XVI Style Late 19th Century 3pc Parlor Set
About the Item
French Settee & Pair of Louis XVI style armchairs from the Late 19th century. These antique oak framed chairs & settee, with upholstered centers set within a highly carved vertical acanthus leaf Top Rail, and Side Post of the frame. The padded arms with deep acanthus leaf scroll carved wood continuing down the stump. The seat rail is highly carved in the spiral ribbon straight line recessed pattern. Medallion cornered front , and sides with reed carved tapered legs. Brass button tacked surrounded spring cushioned bottom and back rest , with previously reupholstered in silk like material in good condition ( some deterioration sun fade-wear to the back side of the tops of the seat backs, ( Arm Chairs ) Back height 38.5"H, Arm height 26.5"H, Seat height 18"H, Overall width 24.75"W, Overall depth 24"D, Seating 21"W x 19"D, ( Settee ) Back height 41.5"H, Arm height 26"H, Seat height 18"H, Overall width 61"W, Overall depth 29"D, Seating 57"W x 21"D.
