GEORGES DE FEURE (1868-1943),
Five Piece Salon Suite
circa 1900
Walnut and parcel-gilt, comprising a settee, two armchairs and two side chairs. It is rare to find a full set of period salon Art Nouveau furniture and the style of Georges De Feure in right there with Emile galle and Louis Majorelle at one third the cost.
Height of settee 38 1/4in (97cm); width 46in (116cm); depth 22in (55cm)
Height of armchairs 38in (97cm); width 24 1/2in (62cm)
Height of side chairs 35 1/2in (90cm); width 17 1/4in (43cm); depth 18in (45cm)
Condition: Overall good used condition. Typical light nicks and surface scratches consistent with age and use. Re-upholstered and wood lightly re-finished at some point with one or two slats reglued over the years. Gilt elements are strong. Set presents well.
