About the Item
This pair of faux leather chairs with two pouffs is suitable for a living room or bedroom. These are very rare armchairs from a prestigious Italian manufacture. In 1950, Nello Pini designed the work that made him world famous, the Oscar Armchair. An armchair with tapered, linear lines in stark contrast to the style of the time. Inside it conceals a completely mechanical and invisible mechanism that allows, with a slight pressure on the backrest, the armchair to be adjusted and tilted and the leg supports to be released. The Oscar armchair was a rapid success and was patented internationally (England, France, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, Italy, USA) and exported to many countries. Nello Pini changed the name of the Pini studio to Mobilificio Gigante Pini.
