About the Item

We are delighted to this stunning vintage fully restored Chesterfield cigar brown leather library suite A very rare find, I never come across original sets of four pieces from this era and especially not the fully buttoned sets. We have fully restored the suite and it is in better than retail new condition throughout, not bad for something over 70 years old The restoration has been extensive, my leather polishers have stripped out the old faded color, they have then hand dyed each piece this lovely whiskey brown color, the chair and sofa have had new vintage antiqued castors fitted, both chairs new hessian base covers which have been hand nailed in place using antique nails This is the finest set of this type you will find anywhere, its true library set which is a wingback armchair with foot stool and club sofa and armchair. The club sofa and chair are rare, they have the slightly elongated seat platform which protrudes one row of buttons deeper on the seat base, great for the taller generation or those who want to use the seats with cushions as well. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
