About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning vintage fully restored Chesterfield cigar brown leather Victorian suite A very rare find, I never come across original sets of four pieces from this era and especially not the fully buttoned sets. We have fully restored the suite and it is in better than retail new condition throughout, not bad for something over 120 years old The restoration has been extensive, my leather polishers have stripped out the old faded colour, they have then hand dyed each piece this lovely whiskey brown colour, the chairs and sofa have had new vintage brass castors fitted, both chairs new hessian base covers along with the sofa which have been hand nailed in place using antique nails The sofa is as mentioned a drop arm, the mechanism is stiff but works well once engaged, ideal for those of use who like daytime naps Sofa dimensions Height:- 73cm Width:- 170cm Depth:- 84cm Club armchair dimensions Height:- 90cm Width:- 85cm Depth:- 93cm Stool dimensions Height:- 41cm Width:- 54cm Depth:- 38cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
