About the Item
Upholstery and Black Laqcuered wood seat designed by Svante Skogh for Olof Perssons Fåtöljindustri, Jönköping. Sweden, 1950s
This Piece was designed following the rules of scandinavian mid century style, the piece features simple lines giving up excessively decorative elements. The angled black legs balance perfectly the curved seat, whose shape is not only beautifully proportioned but also ergonomic and confortable.
Swedish furniture designer Svante Skogh is a well known mid-century designer. Throughout his career in the 1950s and 1960s, he worked with several furniture producers. Despite his famous designs, not a lot is known about the designer. His designs ranged from coffee tables to seating, such as his famous Bodö Series from 1957, also available in our catalog.
Excellent restored condition, this lounge chair is reupholstered and the legs present traces of use and patina.
