Brown leather shell on chromium plated steel base by Fabricius / Kastholm, Denmark, 1962.
1960s Design classic leather scimitar chair by the iconic Danish designer duo Fabricius / Kastholm. The Scimitar chair takes its name and its shape from the Turkish sword. Matted chromium plated steel foot in one piece holds the molded fiberglass covered with foam in leather in cognac. Manufactured by Ivan Schlechter. We have one more pieces in stock.
The Danish designer duo is influenced by Kjaerholm, Juhl and Mies van der Rohe, whose Barcelona chair was a clear inspiration for their popular X Chair. Danish Hans Wegner is another time companion that has had a visible impact on their designs.
