An antique Dutch Colonial early 20th century plantation lounge chair from Madura, Indonesia with slanted back and long arms. Born in Madura off of the northeastern coast of Java, this Dutch Colonial lounge chair is designed to provide a relaxing experience to the sitter. The slanted back is adorned with a pierced back, and connected to two long arms. The rectangular seat, made of a succession of wooden slats, is curving delicately, while the ensemble is raised on four straight legs, connected through side stretchers. With its simple yet elegant silhouette and lovely patina, this antique teak wood early 20th century Indonesian plantation lounge chair will bring a relaxed presence to any home, perhaps placed on a patio.
