Set of lounge chairs manufactured by Viskadalens Möbelfabrik, Kinna in Sweden. The perfect set for socializing, cocktail party, cigar night, or a classic Netflix and chill. Wide enough to host two people or comfy snug up for one to read a good book.
Characterized by balanced proportions and soft lines: Swedish furniture uses balanced proportions and soft lines to create a look especially suited to the modern home. These proportions also reflect the fact that the pieces are also designed to be functional. The importance of the private home and a deep desire for a high-quality lifestyle ignited the Scandinavian design principle “function follows form.”
Viskadalens Möbelfabric was one of the manufacturers from this era that supported their designers to be courageous, wild, and vivid when trying to create furniture-fair “blockbusters,” resulting in extraordinary furniture classics. This age of Swedish furniture design changed the point of view of how to use and value furniture as functional art objects and sculptures.
