About the Item
Model CL9 ribbon chair by Cesare Leonardi and Franca Stagi for Bernini / Italy, circa 1961 / Moulded fibreglass seating section on chrome tubular base. Seating base in colour white, matte surface. The continuous band of moulded fibreglass forming the sculptural seat section of this remarkable design is attached to the tubular chrome base by means of rubber shock-mounts. This connection and the cantilevered construction provide an inherent degree of springiness.
