Contemporary Curved Steel and Wood Arm Chair, Eileen Chair
About the Item
Composed of thin powder coated steel curved into a soft architectural form, the Eileen Lounge Chair blends progressive manufacturing processes with hand craft. A solid Ash leg supports one side, creating a delightfully asymmetric posture. Maharam Merit fabric has a subtle and contemporary boucle-like feel. Clean lines are balanced with plush cushions wrapping you in a cozy embrace.
Part of CAVU's Lift Off Collection, this design is a nod to the early pioneers of aviation, an industry that inspires us with innovative, efficient designs. Eileen Gray, the famous architect, furniture designer and the chair's namesake, was an enthusiastic supporter of these early aviators, frequently attending air shows. Gray is a big influence for us at CAVU and we are similarly inspired by her inventiveness and boundless spirit.
