About the Item
Fantstic and rare Danish 1940s highback chair with proportions very reminiscent of Fritz Hansen's sought after Model 1672 high back lounge chair from the early 1940s. The model 1672 has become of the most sought after and iconic high back chairs to come out of the Danish modern era with its slim and tall silhouette and dramatic angles. This charmer has almost the same look and dimensions as the 1672 although it is not as tall and a little bit shorter. This classic and comfortable chair made around early 1940s featuring a solid wooden frame and copper coil springs. The fabric is worn and needs replacing. Overall very good condition.
