Illum Wikkelsø Lounge Chair

About
Designed in 1968 by the Danish Illum Wikkelsø for Ryesberg Møbler, these high backed lounge chairs feature the original leather upholstery and industrial stylings on the matte chrome frame. The horizontal steel slats of the backrest are encased in leather and its finials are capped in rosewood. The seat of the chair has thick upholstered arms, with a detached seat and back cushion, and a removable head bolster attaches to the chair frame with leather straps. The chair rests on four flattened disc feet.
There are two chairs and they are priced individually.
Condition: Great vintage condition; original leather upholstery shows some age-appropriate patina and wear. Metal frame has been professionally cleaned, matte finish, and has slight wear consistent with age.
Dimensions: 35.5" width x 40" depth x 37" height; seat height is 16" and arm height is 19".
