About the Item
The Dobra outdoor lounge chair is part of the Dobra furniture line which is designed with the concept of a continuous steel bar folded to create legs and frames for the different components.
"Dobra" is a Portuguese word for "fold". The reason is the folded steel flat bar that is present in this entire line.
Folded bars were a lot explored in the Industrial modernist furniture design, but in most of the cases in the shape of a tube, a pipe. The Dobra line explores the versatility of a flat steel bar and the beauty of treating it as a visually soft material by the folded details.
In the case of this outdoor version, the frame is fabricated in in folded aluminum bar and the seat and back are done with soft chenille rope hand-woven wrapping around special water-resistant foam.
It comes with a pillow available in various colors, with or without piping detail.
