Questa rara poltrona è frutto di una fortemente voluta sperimentazione del design Italiano nell' arredamento di interni, portata avanti dal produttore di mobili Mario Sabot negli anni 60 e 70. Due esemplari Pod furono scelti per la iconica residenza estiva Palais Bulles di Pierre Cardin, oggi tra i più importanti edifici storici del ministero della cultura francese.
