About the Item
Mid century lounge chair
This is the iconic armchair named "Bratislava" as it was originally produced for the airport in Bratislava city. Designed by Ludvik Volak, this armchair was produced by Drevopodnik Holesov in 1960s. The base of the armchair is made of bended wood laminate, a new material at the time produced by pressing together wooden veneer pieces. This allowed the designer to create amazing shapes. The seat of the armchair is upholstered in a black faux leather with square stitching.
The chair is a true original which has been cleaned, waxed and polished so has an aged patina. A rare find and we have a matching pair currently in stock.
