Beautiful pair of Mid-Century Modern Bastiano lounge chairs designed by Tobia Scarpa for Knoll, circa 1970s. These vintage lounge chairs feature a solid wood oak frame with removable cushions that have been professionally reupholstered and are in good vintage condition. Frame Dimensions: 36"w x 30"d x 21"h x 15"sh Height with cushion- 28.50" "In the early 1960s, Scarpa began to design modern furniture based on the principles of Le Corbusier. He and his wife Afra, designed for several of the biggest names in Italian design including Cassina and Gavina SpA, which his father directed. With the 1968 acquisition of Gavina, the Bastiano Lounge collection was introduced to the Knoll catalog. The simple, comfortable design worked well with modern and traditional interiors alike and was one the most successful products of that time period.
