Oswald Haerdtl Set of Four Easy Chairs, 1950s

About the Item

Oswald Haerdtl set of four easy chairs, the 1950s A rare set of four easy chairs was designed by the Austrian designer Oswald Haerdtl and produced by Ton (Thonet) in the former Czechoslovakia 1950s. Characteristic ash wood chairs, curved backrest, wooden seats, good seating comfort. Oswald Heardtl was an architect and designer and a student of Kolo Moser. In the early twenties, he was an employee in the private studio of Josef Hoffmann. These four easy chairs would be an eye-catching addition to any interior, such as a large living room, screening room, or office. It also perfectly fits in a hospitality or corporate location like a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, or luxury boutique. The wood is in good condition, with a minor patina on the wood parts. When you choose for used mid-century design, you use what is already there, making it sustainable. You may not give the furniture a second, but even a third or fourth life. Mid-century design furniture is often a high-quality product that lasts several lives for a reason. Some furniture has a rich history, and the story is still visible or tangible with some. The signs of wear give a glimpse into the previous owner's life.
