Pair of HBF Chalice Chairs by Orlando Diaz-Azcuy

About the Item

An award-winning design by Orlando Diaz-Azcuy the "Chalice" chair for HBF. Curved swooping lines that nod to Art Deco design. Scale, proportion, and texture define the design. With a strong, solid form and a luxuriousness of material that inspires conversation. Comfort, craftsmanship and materials are hallmarks. Diaz-Azcuy's eye for architectural elements and reverence for the highest quality materials is reflected in each of his creations. Equally at home in traditional and contemporary settings. Cuban born Orlando Diaz-Azcuy is one of America’s most respected and awarded designers. His prolific career spans more than 50 years. With degrees in architecture, landscape architecture and planning, he worked with luminaries like Lawrence Halprin and Arthur Gensler before opening his own studio in 1987. His now-iconic work for Steelcase, McGuire, and HBF reinvigorated those storied brands.
