Pair of Northern Europe Biedermeier Birch Armchairs with Ebonized Wood details, Early 1900s.
Matching a Sofa of the same style in another listing, this lovely pair of lounge chairs is simplified refinement. The early 1900s brought more robust styling but maintained the less adorned look. The refinement of the classic warm honey birch veneer with rounded back and arms. Ebonized wood leaf details on the arms. Upholstered back. Legs curl out. Upholstered in a slate blue/stone colored stripe. Hairline cracks in veneer on the back frame, light surface scratches on arms and legs. Upholstery fabric in good condition.
