Pair of Wooden Lounge Chairs with Molded Plywood Backrest and Blue Upholstery

About the Item

Pair of 1950s lounge chairs. Noteworthy is the chairs' backrest which is made of a single block of wood that wraps around the cushion. The same design is used for the seat. Some have attributed the design to a Danish furniture designer Grete Jalk. However, the chairs have been produced in the U.S. The structure of the chairs is made of mahogany veneer and the seats are upholstered in light blue velvet fabric.
