Thonet, set of four lounge chairs, cherry, fabric, Germany, 1930s
This unique set of four chairs has a splendid construction that epitomizes a simplistic, natural and timeless aesthetics. The design is characterized by clear, straight lines that are noticeable in the shape of the seating area and backrest that underline the clear structured design. The burgundy and brown color of the upholstery perfectly matches the warm tones of the cherry frame. The presence of the round edges and the wooden joints show true craftsmanship. The chair has a manufacturer label stating ‘Thonet’.
Please note that the brown fabric cushions are pulverized. Reupholstery is possible before shipping by our experienced craftsman and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
