Vintage Modern Designer Lounge Chairs
About the Item
A very good pair of vintage designer lounge chairs. Very well crafted. Designer and manufacturer is unknown at this time. They were acquired from an fine Chicago North Shore estate that included Widdicomb and Gio Ponti furniture of the period. We have a photo showing these chairs in company with the Ponti Table. It is possible these chairs are Italian, but uncertain. Still a research in progress as to the origin and designer of these handsome chairs.
Manner of Robsjohn Gibbings and MIchael Taylor for Baker
Upholstery appears to be original or vintage. I believe these stand in usable condition as found. Fading though. I think the photos may show the bottom cushion oriented incorrectly hence the sun fading of the cane pattern. That should be flipped around.
