About the Item

Yrjö Kukkapuro for Haimi, 'Karuselli' lounge chair, leather, fiberglass, Finland, 1960s. Organic shaped lounge chair by Finnish designer Yrjö Kukkapuro. This chair consist of a moulded plastic shell with thick leather cushions on the upholstery. A nice combination is created by the different shades of brown. Also the lines and parts of this design are beautifully emphasized. The base is equipped with a chrome bar which is meant to be the suspension for the chair, and also provides the tilt and swivel function which allows you to enjoy this chair in 360 degrees. Please note that we advise reupholstery before use. This item contains threadbare upholstery with wear and small tears. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
