Yrjö Kukkapuro for Haimi, 'Karuselli' lounge chair, in leather, fiberglass, Finland, 1960s.
Organic shaped lounge chair by Finnish designer Yrjö Kukkapuro. This chair consist of a moulded plastic shell with thick leather cushions on the upholstery. A nice combination is created by the different shades of brown. Also the lines and parts of this design are beautifully emphasized. The base is equipped with a chrome bar which is meant to be the suspension for the chair, and also provides the tilt and swivel function which allows you to enjoy this chair in 360 degrees.
