About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning RRP £4,170 George Smith buttoned Gainsborough side chair in brown leather with mahogany frame This is a very well made, luxury occasional chair, its been used as a desk chair since new. The leather is luxury aniline which has been hand dyed this deep brown colour, the frame has a mahogany finish. The chair is wonderfully comfortable, it has a coil sprung base and the back rest has a sprung flex so as you sit back it has a small amount of absorption, I’ve never seen this on any other piece before, it really does make a difference The piece has been restored to include a clean wax and polish, there may be normal use related marks here and there, mostly its in very fine order Dimensions Height:- 109cm Width:- 60cm Depth:- 62cm Seat height:- 49cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
